Microsoft windows xp service pack 3 or higher

I have used the Run command in the startbar and then typed winver and its
told me I'm running on windows xp service pack 2, how do I get service pack 3
or higher and can someone please prove me the link to it.

Just wait.. I figure about a year. Maybe not that long - but.. Who knows.
The link will be the same as it is to get other critcal updates:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
That is where you will need to SCAN your system and install at least the
CRITICAL updates. I highly recommend never installing any Hardware Drivers
from that site, however..
Service Pack 2 is the latest Service Pack for Windows XP - if someone has
informed you otherwise, they were mistaken.

I believe SP3 was just released a few months ago for Office XP, but not
sure, I use Office 2k3 on everything.

If you have a program that is asking for SP3 or higher it is either a typo
or they are referring to Windows 2000 SP3 or higher.
