Scheduling a Windows XP Backup

We run a peer to peer network, using Snap!Servers for disk storage and a
Windows XP Home PC to "oversee" the network. This PC connects to the internet
via ADSL, administers DHCP, acts as a local Mailserver, and a few other
functions.
We had been running a XCOPY based backup until recently which has started to
fail as it can't deal with the increasing number of "Long File Names" we are
generating.
So I decided to switch to XP Backup. Every time I've tried to run it through
the XP Scheduler it fails immediately with a "0x1f" Exit Code.
We have 2 administration logons to this PC - 1 for everyday use with no
password, and another with a password, to enable it to run scheduled tasks.
So I Set up the backup schedule, using the alternate logon+password - I
received a warning about a file that would need to be able to be accessed
(Local Settings/Application Data/Microsoft/Windows/NT/Backup.....etc) so I
defined the "Backup" folder as a Shared Folder, thinking that would work.
It still continues to fails with a "0x1f".
I haven't been able to find enough about the above code - can anyone help,
please
