I have a virus and every virus removal tool I have says it cannot be cleaned.
They all give instructions on how to remove the virus manually by going into
the registry, however, whenever i type regedit a window pops up that says
:the NTVDM has encountered an illegal instruction ... blah blah blah and I
cannot get in to the editor. I can't get in in safe mode either. Pls help.
The virus is called worm.mugly.I

okay, now I've done it. I created those copies and went and edited my
registry, now I can't open some of my programs. Obviously, I edited the
wrong thing somehow. I can't get on the internet with my computer. I can't
get into "help and support" either. I can't do a restore since it was shut
down while I was trying to do the regedit. I am not sure what to do now. It
seems my computer is more hosed now than ever...No, i did not backup the
registry....I have xp pro. Is there a way I can do a repair?
