2B honest, I would say that SP2 caused a lot of older games stop working just
due to compatibility issues. SP1 had problems with a lot of older games
documents in the game publishers reqs sometimes. Look for secrets of the
nautilus. marketted as XP comp but the truth is a different tale. Resident
evil works perfectly on 98 but twice speed on XP, I have a huge list of them.
It also depends on your filing system. most old games don't rec NTFS
therefore either fail to install or run trying to find a hard drive that
shouldn't exist yet. I have a 4g fat32 drive and that makes little difference
with most games. Tomb Raider is another one. that boots but crashes. Most DOS
are useless (the old classics, I love Legacy of Kain, but blood omen and soul
reaver really struggle). XP compatibility wizard (Properties tab) fixes some
problems but does not do enough to compensate.

Hopefully this new OS due out in 2 years may fix this. Example, try running
Secrets of the nautilus if you have it. Try all you might. it will never
work. Direct info from The Adventure Company.
