I keep receiving this confirmation window whenever I try to delete a folder
named 'New Folder' on my desktop and ONLY on my desktop. If I delete a folder
name 'New Folder' anywhere else that confirmation window does not pop-up.

Does anyone know what that confirmation window is called? In windows language?

I'm sorry, but the picture of your error message isn't clear. Could you

This is the error message:

"Renaming, moving, or deleting 'New Folder' could make some programs not
work. Are you sure you want to do this?"

I would like to know how I can stop that error message from triggering
whenever I delete a folder on my desktop named 'New Folder'

This is a new one for me, so let's narrow down the troubleshooting by
having you answer some questions:

1. Did this problem always occur? If no, then what changed between the
time things worked and the time they didn't? Is the problem recent?

2. Describe the computer briefly. Old? OEM (HP, Compaq, eMachines)? XP
came installed on the computer or is it an upgrade?

3. Is the computer 100% virus and malware-free? If you think so, what
did you do to determine this?

Let's start there.

Nevermind I figured out the problem. It had to do with setting Attributes for
files and folders.
