When starting my XP home, the computer stops responding and I get taken to
the window whereby I can enter safe mode, safe mode with networking, etc.
When I then go into safe mode I get a message indicating that my 64MB NVIDIA
GeForce 2 MX with TV out is problematic. I reinstalled the driver, but to no
avail. When I check error messages, I get two: the first says "The Com+
event system detected a bad return code during its internal processing.
HRESULT was 800743c from line 44 of ....." The second says "Volume shadow
copy service error: unexpected error calling routine CoCreateInstance.hr =
0x80040206".
Can anybody give me some idea of how to proceed? I am flummoxed!
