Recycle Bin

I have an external hard drive (K) used for back up purposes and it is
conected to my PC thru a USB cable. Just recently when I try to open the
recycle bin on my (C) drive the flash light comes up and it wants to scan
the (K) drive, which I see the drive light on the external drive is blinking
and it is causing the recycle bin to take 30 seconds to open. I have run
every kind of spyware known to man, registery cleaner etc to no avail. Can
someone give me a clue as to why all at once the external drive seems to be
involved.

Right-click on your Recycle Bin and select Properties.
Then click on your External Drive tab (K) and move
the slider all the way to the left (0%) and click Apply.
