Wow - that looked like it was all part of the original post to me. I really
had to read into it.
I do see the advice - just a little crowded Q.. *grin*

The information above is intended to assist you; however, it is
suggested you research for yourself before you take any advice - you
are the one ultimately responsible for your actions/problems/solutions.
Whenever possible, the advice will include the method/places used in
compiling the answer. Also, questions may have been asked to clarify
your situation OR to give you an idea of where to look - do not dismiss
them lightly.

Thanks everyone.
It's my friends Laptop. I kinda felt responsible because I have been raving
about XP coz I love it and have it on all of our pcs in our home (7). When
he said there were problems after xp install, I panicked and wanted to turn
the clock back to a time where I'd have the opportunity to keep my mouth
shut and keep out of it!
I'm going over today to check out what they mean by "Playing up" equipped
with all your replies

Hi all.
Well checked out the laptop. It took forever to start-up and to open
anything. But I think it was due to the following reasons;
Found thousands of files in the Temp Int Files folder. got rid of them and
cookies.
There were few damaged Objects in the Downloaded program files. got rid of
them
There were tons of unused and suspect programs which we got rid of in
Add/Remove software.
The difference it made was fantastic.
Now running as it should.
Thanks everyone.
