Networking an XP and 2000 Pro Machines

I have a brand new Win XP Pro machine and an older Win 2000 Pro machine. They
are both connected through a D-Link Wireless router. Unfortunatley the
network connection wizard doesn't work with Win 2000. It gives me a message
that it only works with Win 98 98SE ME and XP, and to check the help files
for networking with other operating systems. I have done so and have found
nothing. Can you help?

1. Make user accounts/passwords on the Win2k box that are identical to
the ones on the XP box.
2. On both computers, make sure whatever firewalls are being used are
properly configured to allow file/printer sharing on the lan as
trusted.
3. Share out desired resources on each computer.

There's no need to run the Wizard -- the default network settings on
Win 2000 are compatible with XP.
It isn't strictly necessary, but specifying the same workgroup name on
both computers will make networking a little easier.
Follow Malke's suggestions, and everything should work.
