Hi all. I hope someone can help me. I have three computers all running
XP home. Two of the computer can see and access each other but the
other can neither see or access the other two. I get this error
message:The network is not accessible
you might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact
the
admin of this server to find out if you have access permission.
Network path
was not found.)
I have done everything exactly the same on the other two as i have
this one and still cannot get anything to work. i have tried to do
everything on Carey's page and still cannot access them. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi Paula,

The "not have permission...path was not found" error has 2 likely causes.
# Browser conflict.
# Firewall problem.

Look for a misconfigured / overlooked firewall. Then check for a browser
conflict, using browstat. Read these articles, and relevant linked articles,
please:

<http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/browstat-utility-from-microsoft.html>

Then provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" for all 3 computers, as
instructed in this article:
