[Mother Farquhar]

I have XP home and this game's box says it works on it but my version keeps
exiting to the desktop (despite being patched). I tried Win98 mode (because
it worked on my old '98 machine, but had no luck.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Update to the latest:

video card drivers
motherboard chipset drivers
DirectX

If you still have problems, you may need to type in your PC's specs here so
as to find someone to guide you further.
