Morning everyone,
Having installed my new Belkin wireless desktop card I have lost all of
my LAN settings & capabilitis.
The card works fine and i can connect to the internet via my modem /
router - however I cannot see any of the other computers in my work
group (one laptop and one desktop)
When they attempt to browse to a PC in the workgroup or view workgroup
computers they are advised that they do not have permission to access
it....
I have run the network setup wizard a number times to no avail...
I have removed the wireless card to no avail...
Interestingly, I have also lost the menu of items that is at the right
side of the 'My Network Places' window. eg 'Workgroup computers' link,
'Network setup wizard icon' and also the option for a 'New Network
Place' is also gone....
Any assistance gratefully received.
PC is P4 3.4ghz 2 GB ram 250gb SATA with XP Pro SP2 completely patched
up to date.
Everything else is perfect!
