Anyone ever seen this. Situation:
Home: 1 PC with XP Pro SP2 and cable modem with port forwarding setup for
RDP from the outside. Tested and connection works
Work: 1 PC with XP Pro SP2 on a domain, connecting to the internet through a
router, connection tested and works.
Issue: RDP will connection, you can work for a while and suddently the RDP
screen will freeze, the display will lock stuck on the screen it was frozen
on. A few minutes later you will see a flashing icon on the top right corner
of the screen indicating the network connection through RDP was disconnected,
and then almost immediately, the screen will refresh and the connection will
be re-established.
This is very annoying and I would love to find out why its happening. I
have verified that the cable modem is not resetting. Its not the PC, I can
initiate downloads and they complete by the time the screen re-connects, so
the connection is stable, just RDP disconnects at random and then
re-connects.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Joe
