Greetings to everyone! I recently install WXPP w/ SP2 and I have
Norton Security 2005 in addition I setup a small network consisting
of 2 Pc. The other pc is running Windows 2kP. I gave them local IP
addresses and link them with a Linksys router. I'm able to access the
internet from either one, however when I try to access the workgroup
with the XPP it takes the machine a great deal of time, and sometime
it won't even access the workgroup. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Lefont

Lefont,
Check for unnecessary protocols and network components:
<http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/troubleshooting-network-neighborhood.html#Components>
<http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/fix-network-problems-but-clean-up.html>
You also could have a browser problem. Run "browstat status" on both computers:

If no problem found yet, try posting "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from
both, and we'll try and diagnose the problem.
