I am at work and i have a xp computer when i do an ipconfig /all it looks
fine. All of the other computer can get on internet . But that xp computer
that is giving me problems i can not ping our gateway but i can ping and
browse everything in our network. This has just started happening the guy
said he did not change anything. But even if he did change some stuff around
since the ipconfig /all looks fine that does not explain why he can not get
on internet at lease he should be able to ping our gateway. any ideas

Check for LSP / Winsock corruption.

Well i tryed what the article said to do and it did not work. And i have just
found another machine that is giving me the same problem but it is windows
2000 not xp. So i have 1 xp and one 2000 machine that can not get on the
internet or ping the default gateway.

Did you try all LSP / Winsock repairs (there are 4)?
If the problem involves more than one computer, though, you need to check what
they have in common. Start by checking the network.
<http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/dealing-with-physical-network-problems.html>
Look at "ipconfig /all" for the 2 problem computers, and for 2 others. Any
interesting differences? Post them here if you wish.
If no problem identified by "ipconfig /all", let's look at the static route
tables. Run "route print" for the 2 problem computers, and for 1 or 2 others.
Also, consider malware to possibly be involved.
