Why do my computers hate me?

I've had a network working for years. I finally decided to upgrade the office
PC to WinXP, and all of a sudden I've got issues. I can't get back into my
network from my office PC, although I used the upgrade package of XP.
Everything should've stayed the same, right? Besides that, I've tried to
create a network, and made the network setup disk to run on the other two
machines that use Win 98se. Doesn't help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated; my business depends on this network,
and I can't afford to pull anymore hair out.

There are several possible side effects from an upgrade to Windows XP, but it
will be a lot easier to diagnose your problem if you can provide some more
