yeah I am getting the same problem in windows 2000

I was going to upgrade to XP to see if that fixed it...

I have replaced 100% of my hardware and my OS and it still does it to
me, it seems independant of what software I have running, and it
seems to have started after several months ago I did a windows update.

I am going to install XP and if it keeps doing it then, its going to
be some version of linux.

I have the exact same symptoms, and if I dont reboot it goes to a BSOD
exception in ntoskrnl.exe
