I have installed and configures IIS on my XP pro system, and setup a web
page. this page is fully functional from my local LAN, but no users from the
"internet" can access this page. i have totally shut down windoe\ws
firewall, and even plugged my XP box directly into my cable modem to bypass
my router. all of this is no help. the outside world still can't connect to
my web server. any help on this would be great.

First, have you configured your router to allow outside access to your Web
server?

Second, does your ISP allow you to run a server or are they blocking the Web
server ports?
