I have a user that has a dell laptop with winXP Pro, we are useing Windows
2000 server with a AD Domain with Folder redirection configured. I also have
him set up for offline folder syncronization. Ok after all that here is my
problem when the user is on the network he can log in just fine. when he
disconects from the network (he always logs off and shuts down machine) and
tries to run his laptop, it boots fine to the login screen but then when he
tries to log on it just hangs at the login screen where it just fades a
little. I have allowed it to sit for 30 mins and it seems no further
progress. I can however log in with the local administrator account then go
back and log into the users account (note admin I have to change the "log
into " selection to the local computer then when I log the user back in I
change it back to my domain) once I have logged into the local machine the
log in seems to work fine. but I have to repeat this every time I log into
machine off the network.
