I have 2 PCS A & B Networked via D-Link NIC & both having XP Pro with sp2 +
all updates. The problem is I cannot see PC B in the Network Places from A
or B. However A is visible on both. ICS is working perfect & both can ping
each other.

Panchi,
Are you sure the problem isn't your firewall again?

If not the firewall, time to check the browser now.

Chuck,
I guess its the browser problem now. On running the browstat utility I get
the following:
Status for Domain .........
Browsing is not active on domain
Master name cannot be determined from GetAdapterStatus

Chuck,
I have resolved the problem. Actually I had messed up with the registry
which lead to the issue. What I did is that I made a cope of Explore in
C:/windows and renamed it to explorer1.exe. I tweaked the registry to load
the renamed explorer1.exe on startup. So, suddenly I realized what I had
done and changed the registry setting to load the original explorer.exe.
Note that I had made a copy of the Explorer in order to tweak the exe file
to rename the start menu, but without any luck!
Moreover thanks for all the support you provide everyone on this Newsgroup.

I have a similar problem except that it appears that the PC wired to the
router needs to be "on" for thw wireless to see it. Don't understand why this
is.

Most computers need to be "on" so they can be seen. Few computers can be seen
when "off".
