Direct Cable (Parallel) Connection

I have created a Direct Cable Connection (Parallel) between my Laptop (Guest)
and PC (Host). The connection icons come up on both machines ok and they are
obviously connected. But when I go to my "Network Places" there are no icons
for shared folders! I need the connection to download files from my PC to my
Laptop. Do I need some other software to transfer these files? Help would
be much appreciated!

Hi
Might be a cable problem, you need a specific type of cable.
If you have USB on both computers this might be an alternative solution.
