We have a cozy little network here with 8 PCs and one server. Each PC
performs a daily backup to its own shared folder on the server, mo - thu
differential, on friday a full backup. Everything is working just fine, BUT
(isn't there always a but?):
When one of the PCs connects to the server, I get the little balloon in the
corner telling me that a lan-cable is attached and all that good stuff. Every
minute or so, the bubble changes (just for a split second) to "a network
cable is unplugged" or something like that, the switches right back.
I looked at the system event log, and there is an entry every two minutes or
so from tcpip that looks like this:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ereignistyp: Informationen --Event type: Information
Ereignisquelle: Tcpip --Event source: Tcpip
Ereigniskategorie: Keine --Category: none
Ereigniskennung: 4201 --Code 4201

Computer: SERVER --Computer: Server
Beschreibung:
Netzwerkadapter "Intel...PCI-Fast Ethernetadapter (Standard)" wurde mit dem
Netzwerk verbunden, und das System wurde über das Netzwerk im normalen
Zustand gestartet.

to the network, and has initiated normal operation over the network.

The backups complete without problems, the compare shows that everything was
backed up without problems. So, my question is: should I be worried about
this?
I found this: http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;EN-US;Q325487, but it
doesn't seem to be much help.
