home networking

im running 2 p/c's with xp home sp2 (1 desktop and 1 laptop)with a wireless
d-link router. i set up my home network and it was working fine and NOW i
cant find my desktop on my network . i have went through the setup again and
again and the only thing i can see is the files on my laptop .my desktop is
the host p/c but cant
seem to find it .i need help with this before i go crazy.i dont remember
changing anything.my p/c has gone wacko!!!!!!!!!!

If that doesn't do it, post "ipconfig /all" and "browstat status" for both
computers.

The following settings don't look right.

IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : fe80::220:edff:fe75:c222%6
DNS

You need to check these settings, it should be something like:

IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1XX

Also the DNS server should have only one setting, not as you list.
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1

fec0:0:0:ffff::1%1

fec0:0:0:ffff::2%1

fec0:0:0:ffff::3%1

Don't have those "fe...." values when i run ipconfig /all with a D-Link 624
Wireless router.
