can't seem to get my network right

only my laptop is showing up in my work group and not my host? and i keep
getting acess denied and i am using both home xp, i keep going around in
circles ahhhh

Unfortunately, you haven't provided enough information to get specific
answers. From your scanty description, I would guess that a) you are
trying to set up Windows Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) and b) you
have a firewall misconfigured. Here are links to help you set up ICS,
as well as an excellent network troubleshooter by MVP Hans-Georg
Michna. Take the time to go through the t-shooter; it will pinpoint the
problem area(s).

Well, as you may have read on another posting, I had a similar problem with
my setup and I got it working by UNSHARING and then RESHARING the hard
disks on both computers.

It's worth a try.
