Create Clips does not work

Hello,

I imported an AVI file that was captured from a VHS tape.
It is imported as one large file, no cips.
Even if I use the 'create clips' option. It still does not create any clips.
Any ideas?

if you used a 'pass-thru' a digital camcorder into a DV-AVI file, it would
look for timecode breaks and there wouldn't be any...

Can we somehow disable the time code when doing pass through? Because that
would trigger the scene change detection mode of Movie Maker to create
clips... Wont it?

Movie Maker only uses optical scene detection when capturing from an analog
source... and there's no way to capture DV-AVI from a digital camcorder and
have Movie Maker treat it as an analog source.
