I would like to send files to my own folders using "Send To". It seems my
choice for send to is very limited.
When right clicked on a file, I can send only to Desktop, Mail Recipient,
and My documents. It did not work either. Could someone advise me to how
to increase the target for "Send To" (e.g., D:\Important personal folder\)?

I created a short cut.. It was "Shortcut xxx..link". When click on the
link, it did not prompt which I can typ in Sendto.
I might be wrong.
Could youi pleae clarify about "open run" step. Thanks.

No David that is not it at all.This is a new users group and if you can
remember when you were new at this, computers can be very intimidating to
someone who doesn't know their way around them.The poster asked for help and
I answered him.When he is ready he will study and read all on his own as you
and me did.You cannot force that.
All of us who come to these N/G choose to either answer the poster or not
to answer and a few choose to give a smartass putdown (I'm not saying you
did) I chose to answer.
If I wanted to show people how smart I am I would frequent a group that
pertains to aviation since that is how I've earned my living for the past 28
years.And since macho thanked us both he learned something from the two of
us.

Right click on the folder you wish to be in the send to listing,you will see
an option to create a shortcut, do this, this folder will have the same name
as the original one but with "shortcut to" after it.Next go to start then
click on run, in the box that appears type in sendto and click ok,a folder
will open this is your send to folder, place the shortcut icon you just
created into this folder and close it.The next time you use send to your
folder will be displayed as an option.

The old Win95 Power Toy Send To works just like a charm on XP.

No it doesn't. Parts do but one needs to fix it if installing on Win 95 with IE4 Desktop Update or later (incl XP).

Install the Windows 95 Send To Power Toys. After installing go to Add/Remove programs in Control Panel and select Send To Extension Power Toys, click Add/Remove and clear the checkboxes for the three mail extensions. Run the fix below by typing in Start Run

regsvr32 sendmail

One of the 3 old Mail targets (replaced by one combined target in 98 and later) conflicts with Send To Desktop As Shortcut.

I am tired of people posting after me with poorer answers. Now I realise with you it was only 13 minutes which is why the absense of 4 letter words but often it is hours. The person did learn to use Help from my post. People are conditioned to there being no help in help files but this is no longer the case, at least for Windows (office is still pathetic).

I say again my rules. The term that brings up useful help must be in their post as one can't expect people to search on words they don't know. Now that he knows help has help in it in future he can solve problems in 30 seconds.

I am sorry to disagree but I am taking this from here. It does work (only the Send To from Win95) on both my Win2000\2003 and also on my wife,s XP Home without any issues at all.

But agreeing with you I would not touch any other Power Toy aside from Send To within that Win 95 package.
