I am trying to capture clips from my Sony TRV22 to .wmv format with the date
embedded in the video. I am using using firewire. Even when I turn on the
data code so that it displays the date on video out from the camera, it is
not captured to the .wmv clip. Does anybody know how to do this? THANKS!

It is part of the dv stream, but not the video stream as it used to be with
analogue. You can use apps to insert it see this page for links,

Otherwise, insert a title to show the time and date for a short while and
then fade it out.

Thank you. I have been using DVdate and then converting to a low bandwidth
format which takes three steps. I was hoping for a quicker and easier
solution. If anyone ever hears of a way to "encrust" the date while capturing
DV in wmv format, please tell me.
