Brian,

Some simple questions.

1- Are you using a DVD burner or CD-RW drive? Maybe a dumb question.
2- Are you trying to use MM to burn your movie? You can't. You have to 'save
movie' then use 3rd party software.
3- What brand of DVD-R are you using? Have you tried another? I have had
good luck with Sony discs.

Steve, thanks a lot for your reply.
1. I am using a DVD+RW disc to try to copy (burn) my movie onto.

2.I am not sue on your second question. What third party should I use. I
have Nero??? new to the computer game

3. I'm using Mr DVD rewritable disc (cheepy I'm afraid)

If you have completed your movie and are trying to save movie directly to
DVD, you can't do that. MM doesn't support that. Well it may burn a datafile
not a DVD you can play in your player. You need to save movie to the hard
drive. Then import into a DVD authoring program. If you have Nero I think you
need Nero Vision Express for DVD authoring. If you just burn the file to a
DVD then its just a data file on a disk and will only play with media player.

If you're end product is going to be DVDs, I would think about buying better
quality.

Yes if you saved the movie to your computer then you saved it to your hard
drive.
Steve is correct, if you have the FULL version of Nero then it should have
included "Nero Vision Express" which is one of the 3rd party software
programs he referred to.
If you do not have the FULL version and do not have Vision Express then I
recommend checking into one of the many other available DVD Authoring
Programs since you can download working trial versions of them for free to
see which you like best. There is a list of the more popular packages on my
website in the "DVD Programs" section.

hi there!
i'm having perhaps the same problem.
but mine is burning data from DVD+RW drive onto DVD-R disc, is it
possible?
can't find answer for that, or if it is impossible to write cross
format, are there any software that do hacking?
