hi, during start up (windows xp pro) windows log-in box appears with the
administrator already typed in as the username and blank for the password (
as it does not have a password) section.
How can i set up xp so that it bypasses windows log-in straight onto the
administrator desktop

I don't know how to do this AFTER the initial install, but when I
built a new computer and did the initial install of WinXp there
was an option during the install where I could specify that I did
not want a password during boot, so now my computer goes directly
to the desktop at startup

To do this AFTER the initial install you might search here
