Networking Question

I hope this is the correct group.

Suppose we have several WinXP Pro computers hooked up via an Ethernet hub in
a MS workgroup with full file and printer sharing enabled. Then each
computer can see the others. But suppose one of the computers goes into
standby. Then it "disappears" from the view of the others.

Is there a way to set each computer so that if it is in standby, it can be
seen by the others and "awakened" if a request to access one of its files is
made by another computer?

Is "wake up on lan" enabled in the power saving section of your BIOS?
