Saving your Movie to formats that can be exported easily to burned

I am very dissapointed in the save formats of Movie Maker. I think making the
movie is very easy and works great. I don't understand why it is not saved in
a format that can be burned easily with burning software directly? I wanted
to teach using Movie maker but without the ability to burn DVD directly it
seems to be dissapointing. Any comments?

Some burning software can handle either the WMV or DV-AVI files from Movie
Maker. Sonic's MyDVD is one that does it..

Why does it only give me the MSWMM extension to save as? Is this the only
format it can save as?

That's the project file, not the saved movie... it's like the blueprint for
a house versus the house built from it.
Use File > Save Movie File... when you're ready to render the movie from the
project file.

That's very good, jd, thank you! I'll add it to Papajohn's site under Movie
Maker!
Hugs,
Rach - who can use all the help she can get!
