Civil War - Gettysburg Video

Here's a new 9+ minute video that I put together to illustrate the mixing of
items from various sources:
- Movie Maker 2
- Photo Story 3
- Scanned images
- Captured visualizations from iTunes and the Windows Media Player, using
the Encoder to capture
- using a downloaded MPEG-2 file converted to AVI
- Screen captures from the NASA World Wind software
- using a downloaded midi audio file, converted to WMA by capturing it in
MM2 as a narration
- using camcorder footage of a fireworks display as the input to a simulated
firearms display, using VirtualDub
- putting it on the neptune hosting service

thanks..
I'll continue the thread.... I grew up in very southern part of New York
(the south end of the island of Manhattan), moved to the shore of
Connecticut (southern of course).
When I left Michigan, my goal was to move south... just didn't have southern
Michigan in my mind at the time... was thinking more like South Carolina.

Very Nice. !!
love the trick to "borrow" the visualizations from Media player and Itunes
!!
wanna share how you get the "Ken Burns" effect to change directions ?
(i.e. zoom down the page and then across a line)
thanks for sharing !!

Hi Kent,
put two (or more if you want to change directions or speeds more than once)
copies of the picture in Photo Story 3... in the motion settings, uncheck
the default of having a transition between the two pictures, and pick the
option to have the second picture start at the ending position of the first
picture.
one good visualization capture session gets you enough special effects video
clips for a library big enough for a lifetime of using them in movies...

I've been using the Pixellan Effects in moviemaker, but they won't start one
picture where the other left off, I guess it's time to play with photostory
again.
Thanks again !!!
Well, with my new computer running XP Home and WMP 9 a lot of videos have
incorrect colors. Even this Gettysburg video come out all weird. Should I
upgrade to WMP 10??

It's possible that WMP10 would
help but more than likely, you need
to update your video driver.
Try searching the website of your
video adapter's mfg. for updates.
