XP reboots if I select it on dual boot menu

I run XP Pro as a dual boot with Linux, when I start my system and
choose to boot into linux, everything is fine. However, when I choose
windows of the 3 boot options (windows(default), Linux, failsafe) it
keeps rebooting continuosly. I started to think back, and I remember
deleting some files and I think one was NT*******, not sure. Would it
be possible to get the files that allow windows to boot up and just
add them back? If so, what are the files and where do they get loaded?

thanks very much in advance

Not sure if I correctly solved my problem. However, I got it working
by using my original XP disk to repair over my installation. It got me
back in, but its visibly slower than before, so Iím assuming itís
because what I did. At least now I can backup what I need and start
over if need be.

Thanks anyway
