Audio Levels
I understand how to balance the levels between the original video audio and
imported audio clips while I preview the movie. However, how do I save these
settings for the final movie? For example, I would like part of a video clip
to have only my imported audio and part to have to have dialogue from the
original video audio.

the audio settings are included in the saved project file... and are used
when you render the movie from it..

Is there a way to fade a song out and then fade in (or bring in) a new song
during the slide show or video clips? I used 5-6 songs in my project in Movie
Maker but I couldn't figure out how to fade out the songs and bring in new
ones. I didn't want the entire song for some music...

yes, you can trim the music clips just as you do video clips... and you can
drag the music clip at the right up to, and then overlap the music clip on
the left... that'll fade one out and the other in as the movie plays.
