1. I would like to transfer analogue Hi8 tape to MM2 using Dazzle 80. My Hi 8
Camcorder is a Sanyo PS12, which only has Yellow and White connectors. Can I
still connect to Dazzle? I have tried unsuccessfully but maybe I missed out a
step.

2. Again using the Sanyo PS12 can I download, without Dazzle, can I download
to mini DV tape, using a digital Panasonic NV-DS 38?

The Dazzle should still work... you might want to spit the white one to feed
both audio channel inputs of the Dazzle so the mono audio at least feeds
both speakers.

If you're using MM2.1 the pass-thru process would work, if you're connect by
firewire and the Panasonic accepts the input....

Thanks, it's now transferring OK through Dazzle. However, the frames are
being transfered in Black & White. I have played back all the Hi8 tapes on TV
and the colour is still OK. Any reason for this?

Alos, any comments on the 2nd part of my original question please?

dropping color info would point to a computer capability issue... if the
speed of capture can't keep up, info such as color is dropped.

the second part of my response was about your second question.... if the
digital camcorder supports the pass-thru process it should work. see my
Setup > MM2.1 page of my site for detailed info.
