Hi,

Sorry to post again, but got no reply. My computer freezes (needs a hardware
reset) when I am installing NERO Express 6. I've tried NERO technical
support for the last two weeks, and I think they have run out of ideas.
It appears to copy the files correctly, then goes to a stage called
"Processing Registry Settings" after which it freezes.
Someone told me this is likely to be a hardware/driver issue. As a result of
this, I have just flashed my BIOS with the latest version, and checked for
any outdated drivers, although none seemed to be.

I'm sure there is a "things to try when your computer freezes" page on
someone's MVP page?
Any other ideas?

Well, finally got to the bottom of it. I took the DVD-RW drive out of my
system, installed NERO, and then put it back in again. Sounds easy, and I
should have tried this earlier, but, then, no one else thought of it! Or,
like me, thought 'naw.., that couldn't be it - surely the program can cope
with a drive installed that it's designed to interact with'.
