Nowadays, majority of people are using DV cameras. High and permanent videos
quality, but hard to archive. It is the time for Microsoft to:
1- maintain a native wmv format for originals archiving (like the 2.1Mps or
higher) and keep on it for years.
2- standardize encoding algorithms from the native format to any other
formats developed in the future
3- encode the day stamp of the original DV file to facilitate auto clips
generation.
4- limit (as an option) clips splitting at the key frames to avoid
re-encoding when assembling new group of clips
5- Explore the wmv format with DVD drive manufacturers and establish the wmv
as a standard video format
