XP, sp1
I have made some folders that contain different files to be viewed as <type>
and <grouped>. But often the folders change itselfs witout me making any
changes to the original state without <grouping> and being viewed after
<name>. It's really anoyoing to set them up again.

Hi,

WindowsXP will remember the settings of up to 400 folders, after that it
starts forgetting some. See this from MVP Kelly for a way to increase this
number:

Line 2, increase the folder view size limit to 8000

It doesn't matter how many *you* have changed.

Your view settings or customizations for a folder are lost or incorrect
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;813711

This has been fixed in SP2.
