I have problems getting the Video Capture device is not detected in MM. I
have checked the IEEE 1394 hardware and WinXP says it's "working properly"
in Device Manager?????

I'm running XP with SP2 and 5.1 MM. I did download Media Player 10 recently
but I think I had this problem even before????

Any ideas?

Dolfan,
Try your camera on a XP SP1 machine if you can find one. Sp2 firewire
drivers have problems with PCI and onboard firewire controllers. Some
cameras connect, others won't. Even though device manager will tell you
the device is working properly.
