Help and Support program

When I click "Start" followed by "Help and Support" the "loading hour glass"
shows briefly but the Help and Support opening screen does not appear. I
went to:
C://Windows/PCHealth/Helpctr/Binaries/Helpctr.exe and clicked there to try
to open the program directly but got the same strange result.

I work under Windows XP Home Edition service Pack 2.

How do I restore Help and Support?

Type in Start/Run:

helpctr -regserver

Reinstalling HelpCenter:
------------------------

Open %systemroot%\inf folder and locate the PCHealth.inf file (might show as
PCHealth in W.Explorer). Right-click the file and choose "Install". Insert
your XP CD when prompted.

Ramesh...
The above did not help me restore my Help and Support opening page. I could
not locate %systemroot% on my C: drive nor in Regedit. I did find
PChealth.inf and right-clicked it. I selected "install" but all did not go
smoothly. It would give me "cannot locate files" messages for files:
dataspec.xml; pchdt_p3.c4b; wcappres.dll; atrace.dll. I searched for each of
these files and entered their locations and continued on to the end.. I then
shut down and restarted the machine. I hit Start/Help and Support and the
same malfunction that I first emailed about recurred... a brief busy
hourglass followed by nothing.

Please give me another alternative to getting my Help and Support back.

I am under Windows XP Home edition an.d Service Pack 2

Sincerely,
William Tannewitz

William,

When you're prompted for the files, point to
C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 folder for updated system files. BTW,
%Systemroot% is nothing but your Windows folder.

Also, have you tried the command lines that I said earlier?
