Is there a way to split a vieo and save it as different files. For example I
know that I can split a file in project and add transitions etc, but after I
split it, i would like to save it as two seperate wmv files.

Whatever you see on the project's timeline will end up in the saved
movie.... there isn't any feature to tell it to make it as two parts.... you
need to do the dividing in two projects.

You could save it to a single DV-AVI file, import it and split it in two...
it might be an easier approach than handling it in your current project.
