when trying to drag or copy and paste my clips to the story line or time line
it wont allow me l get a message invalid pointer can anyone help please
l have had no end of trouble with MM since installing sp2

Are the clips by chance MPEG?
The invalid pointer error message usually comes up when trying to import
MPEG2 files since Movie Maker doesn't work with them.
