Good morning,
I have a partition on my disk. Fat 32.
XP won't load anymore, stops before desktop. Safe mode, last config won't
work either.
I tried boot disks without results.
Should I relaunch XP from partition? If so, HOW?
Can somebody help? Thank you very much!

Use your Install CD and try repair.

Thank you for the answer Alan. unfortunately, I boot to the root c://> but
cannot access my D: Drive (Invalid drive...??????) and my install cd does not
boot automatically. How can I "make" it recognize the drive?

Check the BIOS to make sure the drive is seen by the computer. The BIOS
should also let you set boot devices and boot order- set your CD as bootable
and before the hard drives are bootable. How are the hard drives formatted?
You can get XP boot floppies at microsoft.com if needed

Thanks for your time. I had windows 98 and a buddy of mine installed XP in a
partition. Boot logs directly to XP but if I press F8, I can chose the OS. 98
does not work anymore, just prompt me to the DOS.
Is it possible to reload XP from this partition?
Will try the BIOS change later on and let you know.
(I did the 6 XP boot disks, without success. Says a file is corrupt and
won't boot)

You need your originanal install CD to reinstall your OS. Things like
partition magic may be able to move it but it's not something I've tried-
check what it claims it can do. In the past I've used xxcopy to move (clone)
other OS, but I've never tried with XP either.A quick look at Bulletin 10
says the copy isn't bootable but there may be work rounds if read on
(www.xxcopy.com)
