Video blurry on MM playback

Making a video for my son's graduation and I have a problem. I have recorded
video and captured it in Movie Maker. After I save the project and then play
it back the video is not clear. It looks very granular. I recorded it with
a Sony Digital Handycam. I have also tried viewing it with a projector and
the same blurriness is there. Is there way to clear it up or capture it
different. The setting I use to save the project it best quality. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

It is the finished movie you are playing back using a Media Player and not
previewing the project within Movie Maker correct?
If you are previewing please be aware that the quality of the video in the
preview window is not that of your finished movie.
If it is a finished WMV or AVI file then the best quality to save in is
DV-AVI available by clicking the radio button next to more options.
But if the picture is blurry and you saved to best quality WMV then the
problem is likely somewhere else.
Possibly check the record settings on the camcorder or a problem with the
firewire or card.

I saved it in DV-AVI and it made all the difference. The playback is clear
and sharp. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.
