Windows XP sp2
IE 6.0

done all of these steps

cleared history
cleared autocomplete and passwords
cleared temp internet files including offline content
cleared cookies
quit IE shut down and restarted

But, several web addresses will still appear when I begin typing.
Scrolling down the saved list highlighting one, and hitting the delete
key has no effect.


Also tried a program called purge which had no effect.

Any suggestions.
