Fails Install for second CD

When performing an install of any program that requires more then one
CD, the system fails upon the second CD.

After clicking on the "OK" button when prompted for the second CD
the prompt remains with the "OK" / "quit" buttons. It is not
reading the CD.

I go into explorer and no matter what CD I place in the drive it shows
the same directory/files as the first CD of the installation. It is
like cache that does not clear. Iíve tried rebooting with out seccuss.
This occurs with any install program with more then one CD.

If I just read the CDís it will see the directory/files that is on
each CD. It is only after Iíve tried to do an install that it shows
the same info as the first CD. I believe it is not releasing cache
that is stored from the first installation CD. That is only a guess.

Iíve tried attaching an external CD drive and continue to have the
same problem.

Does anyone have any ideas? Can use you help. Thanks.
