I have also a problem related to the same topic. Everytime I open my eMails
in the Outlook Express I get a notice saying: The server could not be found.
Account: 'Hotmail', Server:
'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol: HTTPMail,
Server Response: '', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 12007, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0D.

Could anyone help me solve this problem?

Thanks,
Lee

Hotmail isn't 'POP3' - it's web-based. If you opened your account within the
past year or so then you need an MSN Premium account to access Hotmail via a
mail client.

I suppose you could log on to oe.hotmail.com at
http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp
to see if it offers any suggestions.

That should be
http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp

Not sure why when you cut & paste a URL from a Google post it always adds a
'hyphen' somewhere in the URL when you click on it in a newsgroup post.

In this case after the 'h' in hotmail.

http://services.msn.com/svcs/h-otmail/httpmail.asp

Go figure.
