Re-syncing sound after VDub & BeSweet conversions...

I use VDub to pull out the AC3 audio from my MPEG2 and then I use BeSweet to
convert it to WAV. I use VDub to pull out the video without sound in AVI
format. Now, how do I perfectly re-sync the new WAV file to the AVI?

If you put them both on the timeline of a project in MM2 and they are
exactly the same duration, they are in sync.

I mean linking them together rather. Because of cutting and moving things out
of order gets confusing...
I use Premiere 6 also, I see an "unlink audio & video" but I cant find an
option to link up...

I sync exactly by zooming into the wave patterns of the 2 audio tracks, but
you say you strip the audio of the video in VDub. Guess that leaves it up to
doing it as needed with the visual/audio... using the original pre-split
video file as a reference...

Do as suggested by Papajohn:

and render a movie. Now the video and audio are all linked up! You can
bring this file to Movie maker or premiere for further editing.

Thats a great idea, but I am worried about all the rendering, compressing,
etc...
Is MM smart enough to know that if the clips are already AVI, and the output
type is set to AVI not to re-compress it?

Yes... with a single large input DV-AVI file and selecting DV-AVI as the
output, the new file will be the same as the input.
