System Restore

I just want to go to the system restore program - the WHOLE program.
Window's Help is no help on this one...or perhaps I'm reading the file
incorrectly.

I have Windows XP 2

Thank you,

Barry Karas

System Restore is a system tools component of XP, not a separate software
program. What information are you looking for?

I already looked at S.R. It has a restore point for each day this
week. Every second or third day is fine w/ me. How would I set restore
points per the way I THINK they should be? (And not as a percentage of
the hard disk.)

Is there any way I can delete some of the restore points already made?

Thanks,

Barry Karas

I urge you to read up on what is possible and not possible with SR. It is
definitely not like a typical back-up program. It only monitors the system
state and certain system files. All of the restore points are linked in a
chain and if one restore point in the chain is removed or corrupted, then
all restore points that were created prior to that time are useless.

MVP Bert Kinney has one of the most complete websites on system restore, go
there to learn about SR.

Hi Barry,

If you would like to have SR automatically create a restore point ever
other day, download and run XPSystemRestorePointFrequency.vbs utility
and change the frequency from 12 hours to 24 hours.
System Restore Scripts
http://bertk.mvps.org/html/srscripts.html

Older restore points can be deleted by reducing the amount of disk
space used by SR.
How to Adjust the amount of disk space System Restore uses.

All but the most recent can be deleted by using disk clean-up.
