I went to install the update and got the following message "The version of
Windows you have installed does not match the update you are trying to
install". It would not install. I'm using Windows XP Professional SP2

Then what ever the patch is for, it isnt for your version of windows, so
you dont need it, like the man said.

How did you arrive at the conclusion you wanted it initially?

Because when I shut down it hangs at saving your settings and this patch
seemed to exactly discribe the symtems I had. Oh well I'll have to try
something else. Thanks for your help.
